Where are Longchamp designs made?

Since its creation, Longchamp has opened six production sites in western France (Mayenne, Vendée, Maine-et-Loire, and Orne).

For over 70 years, skilled artisans have been preserving the family business’s leather craftsmanship. These sites employ more than 800 people across 25 workshops, all with rare expertise.

In addition to this network in France, Longchamp operates two production sites abroad, in Tunisia and Mauritius.

The brand also works with partner workshops in France, China, Romania, and Morocco. Regardless of location, the “Made by Longchamp” label ensures uniform production and consistent quality standards. The country of assembly is transparently indicated on the labels inside each bag.

For more information about our production process, visit the “Traceability” tab on the product page.

Where does the leather used by Longchamp come from?

Longchamp leathers come from animals raised in Europe, Africa, and South America. We ensure that these farms do not contribute to deforestation, particularly in the Amazon.

The hides are then expertly tanned by some of the finest artisans in France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, England, Uruguay, and Brazil.

Do the Longchamp Collections use fur?

Longchamp no longer uses exotic species or animals raised for their fur in its collections. The protection of wildlife, biodiversity, and endangered species is a priority for Sophie Delafontaine, Artistic Director, who has prohibited their use in all Longchamp collections.

All leathers used in Longchamp products come exclusively from sheep and cattle raised primarily for food consumption, ensuring ethical and responsible sourcing.
